Dawud Wharnsby Ali

Dawud (David) Wharnsby Ali (born June 27, 1972) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, poet, performer, educator and television personality. He is best known for his pioneering efforts in the musical/poetic genre of English Language nasheed. Dawud Wharnsby is also lyricist, vocalist and guitarist of the folk music duo Dawud & Idris, alongside composer Idris Phillips.

Short Biography
David Wharnsby had an interest in folk music. When he turned 21 he converted to Islam and spent some time in teaching children the morals and values of Islam, he then returned back to the music field with Islamic educational songs for kids in an Album called "Whisper of peace", the album made a huge success. He followed it with many successful albums such as: "The Colours Of Islam","Road to Madinah","Out Seeing The Fields" and "The Poets And The Prophet"
