Beginning and rising
Having grown up in a Syrian house, Musa Mustafa have advocated meaningful Islamic art. His beginning was in 1987, when he participated in the second Islamic Nasheed festival in Oman, Jordan. Participations in different festivals continued like the holy mosque of Jerusalem festivals, Intifada festivals and Nasheed festivals.
In 1989, Musa released his first album (Leafs of enlightenment) which included 10 songs composed by 2 other great artists: Muhammad Abu Ratib and Abu Dajana. His participations in festivals held in Algeria was his gate to his international participations, he went to many countries in the Arab gulf, North Africa and many European countries. In 1999, his second release (Night and moon) had 8 songs composed by him and Abu Ratib (again). His third album (I have just left) came in 2001, containing 8 songs composed by him and Abu Ratib. In this album, he sang Iraqi, Yemeni and Syrian folklore.
His fourth release was titled (For you I sing) in 2004, which had 8 different poems.
His method in singing
Musa considers his singing a method of dawah (invitation to Allah and Islam). Which is why his love for singing motivated him to develop his art and present it with the form and style of this era; so that his meaningful Islamic art could compete (And hopefully defeat) with low-class cheap un-Islamic art. That's why he made sure of using all the tools at his disposal to make this happen.
